Xiaomi Presented a Pair of New Smart Watches — Amazfit Watch 2 and Amazfit Watch 2S

Xiaomi annually, if not monthly or even weekly, expands its product line. Last year the company released its first smartwatch under Huami* brand. These days the story of Huami Amazfit got its further development: Xiaomi launched the successors Amazfit Watch 2 and Amazfit Watch 2S, with a wealth of features to track a range of activities and workouts and 11 sports modes.

*Huami is a part of a large family of brands that make smart gadgets for Xiaomi.

Both smartwatches are equipped with a ceramic frame and are waterproof to 5ATM, i.e. they can withstand a dive up to 50 meters. Amazfit Watch 2S, however, also offers a sapphire 2.5D-glass, but does not have a heart rate sensor and GPS, unlike the other model.

The rest of the characteristics are identical. The smart-watches come with a 1.34-inch screen with 320×300 resolution, dual-core chipset clocking at 1.2GHz, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM. Both are compatible with smartphones running Android 4.4 and above, as well as iOS 9.0 and above.

Amazfit Watch 2 and Amazfit Watch 2S also sport a 280mAh battery that should last for up to 35 hours for a full-day use and up to 5 days for a part-time monitoring.

In all other respects, Amazfit Watch 2 and Amazfit Watch 2S are traditional smartwatches with notification of incoming calls and many professional exercise modes including, jogging, marathon, cycling, swimming, climbing, triathlon and others.
