Xiaomi announced that Ninebot isjoining onApril 2015as anew member ofMiEcosystem, with the joint-investment worth of$80 million byXiaomi, Shunwei Capital, Sequoia Capital and WestSummit Capital.
Ninebot Inc. was founded byateam ofrobotics engineers interested indeveloping new technology for use inenvironmental protection and artificial intelligence. With anR&Dteam, the engineers combined the technologies oftheir autopilot and robot technologies todevelop anew type ofself-balancing electric vehicle, the WindRunner in2012. 2years later, Ninebot introduced its Ninebot One, anintelligent and fashionable personal transportation tool with interactive function.
