Mi Internet Radio Gets a Long-Awaited Update

If you have watched any movie from the 80s (or maybe you have come from around that time yourself, which makes it even more interesting to remember), you would probably spot a scene or two in the film where a group of people was gathering around a boombox and breakdancing. Since then a great progress has been made regarding sound technology and these days the boombox can be easily replaced by a portable pocket-sized speaker that would probably have much louder sound. Speaking of which...

Last year Mi Internet Radio could have become, according to our rating, one of the best non-smartphone portable devices the company had... if it had its own power source. We prayed Xiaomi righted the wrong and it did. Yesterday Xiaomi launched Mi Internet Radio Enhanced Edition with an in-built 1000 mAh battery for the times you want to leave your house with it or simply do not want to wire it to your room. Unfortunately, Xiaomi did not point out how long the radio is able to keep itself on. But we will definitely find that out if we happen to review it.

In other departments everything in this new internet radio device is much the same as in Mi Internet Radio. It supports up to 300k stations, synchronizes with your smartphone app through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth automatic switch on/off time settings.
